Dental Implant FAQs

What are dental implants?

If you are missing one or more teeth, an implant is placed to act like a root of the tooth to hold a crown. A dental implant is a titanium fixture placed in the bone which holds a crown, bridge or denture.

Am I a good implant candidate?

Most patients who are missing one or more teeth could be good candidates for implants. Your age is not a limitation, unless you are very young and still growing.  Your medical history will be very important for the decision on implants placement. During your consultation, proper planning and a 3D scan can be taken to determine if implants are the right treatment for you.

Is there discomfort with implant placement?

Implants usually result in very little discomfort. Our implants are placed utilizing 3D planning tools, allowing the most precise placement.  We will 3d print a custom made appliance that will help us to place your implants in the most ideal position. Implants placement is done under local anesthesia with a minimal discomfort during and after the procedure.

What is a guided implant placement?

Using our advanced 3D machinery and imaging technology, we 3D print an appliance/stent that attaches to your teeth. This stent is then used to locate the optimal implant placement site. This results in a faster and safer implant placement.
